Kelly Austin: moving forward with research

Kelly Austin, Assistant Professor of Sociology, has published a research article in the journal Population & Environment, entitled "Export agriculture is feeding malaria: a cross-national examination of the environmental and social causes of malaria prevalence."  This comes as she is preparing to undertake a new research project on health care access for HIV and malaria patients in rural Uganda. With funding from a Faculty Research Grant, she will begin four weeks of fieldwork in July.
