Job announcement: tenure track position in sociology

The Department of Sociology & Anthropology invites applications for a tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Sociology.  The successful candidate will have a research focus on deviance, social control, criminology, and/or criminal justice, with an emphasis on sexuality and/or gender studies.  While Sociology and Anthropology is the home department, the successful candidate will be affiliated with the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) program and teach courses that are cross listed with WGSS.  The candidate must also have an ability to teach in other core courses of sociology, such as sociological theory or research methods.

Candidates must have Ph.D. completed by the starting date of August 2015 and show significant evidence of research productivity and successful teaching experience.

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Lehigh has fourteen faculty members and a master’s program in Sociology as well as undergraduate majors.  We are also actively involved in a variety of interdisciplinary programs. The standard teaching load is 2-2.
